REIKI

Reiki is an ancient Japanese form of healing that can help reduce stress and relaxation. This ancient art of healing is administered by the "laying on of hands" and is based on the concept that a healing takes place through the unseen life forces of energy or universal energy that flows through all of us. If our life force energy is low, this leaves us unbalanced and open for disease or in harmony in the body.

"Reiki" (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, and it is this energy, which emanates from the hands of a Reiki Therapist. Rei means universal and Ki means life force or life energy or as some call it Chi. Reiki is not a religion; it is a natural method of healing, utilizing God's Light. It is used to relieve stress and to let the energy heal the body.

Usui Shiki Ryoho means "The Usui System of Natural Healing", named after Dr. Mikao Usui, who lived in Japan in the late 1800s. Dr. Usui, after many years of meditation, study and world- wide searching, discovered the long lost key to Reiki in the SANSKRIT SUTRAS. Dr. Usui, however, established a technique of healing the spirit through the five precepts of Reiki, extending the healing beyond the physical body. 

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. 

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Reiki is not an alternative to medical treatment but is meant to be used in addition to traditional medical treatment.

It's use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and is available to everyone who seeks it. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people through out the United States and foreign countries.

Reiki is guided by a higher-consciousness and therefore can never do harm. The Universal Life Force Energy always knows what a person needs and will adjust itself to create energy that is needed for that person. No need to worry about whether to give Reiki or not as it is always helpful in any situation.

There is no ceremony or ritual you must use for Reiki. Just turn it on using your visualizing mind. It works that simply.
